It is with heavy hearts that we announce the closure of New Horizons School for the remainder of the current academic year and beyond. The last day will be on May 10, 2024. This decision has been reached due to persistently low enrollment, limited staff, and financial instability partially due to the economic downturn since 2020. (despite our best efforts to sustain operations). Regrettably, we have filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, as the financial challenges have become insurmountable. We understand the impact this decision may have on you and your children, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disruption caused. Moving forward, we are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for our students. All progress reports will be forwarded directly to parents by Wednesday May 15, 2024 and school records will be forwarded to schools who request files through our website at www.newhorizonsschools.com. SAT scores will be mailed to the parent’s home address or email address we currently have on file. If you need to update your address, please do so at any time on our website. Please allow the usual time for processing these documents and expect delivery of these scores by August 1, 2024 We want to express our deepest gratitude for your support over the years. It has been our privilege to be part of your child's educational journey. While this chapter may be closing, we hope that the memories and experiences shared within our school community will endure.
